Page by Page

I discovered this week that when you take two paperback books and weave them together page by page, it is almost impossible to separate them.  The only reliable way to get the books separated is to unweave them page by page.  My friend Darren Johansen pointed out to me that this is a lot like relationships.  The small daily efforts we make to serve, love, and lift each other weave us together in a bond that is almost impossible to break.  The converse is also true – strong bonds are broken a little bit at a time.  Pay attention to the little things!

No great thing is created suddenly.
