What is the biggest barrier to happiness, success, prosperity?

Fear and worry.

Fear gets in our way more than anything else I know.

When we feel fear, we have a natural avoidance response. It is built in – automatic.

Avoidance brings with it short term relief, but in the long run makes the fear worse.

After we have avoided the fear, it is still there and it won't be ignored for long.

Dr. Susan Jeffers is the author of Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway.  Her title captures the alternative – to experience the fear and face it head on.

This is perhaps one of the hardest things to do in the short run, but long term it has lasting benefits.

Ultimately we know deeply that the other side of every fear is freedom.  ~Marilyn Ferguson
