(I hope you have already registered to join me on the phone Wednesday for “Facing Your Giants” – if not, there is still time!) As you can tell from my weekly messages and the kinds of shows you get at Live On Purpose Radio, I’m in the business of collecting and sharing inspiring stories and ideas. I’ve been paying attention and have noticed that EVERY inspiring story has a hard part in the middle. Stories that don’t have a hard part in the middle just don’t inspire me. Apply this now to the hard things you are facing. This is the very stuff that will give YOU the power to inspire others. Don’t you dare give up – you’re not done yet. If you can find a path with no obstacles, It probably doesn’t lead anywhere. - Frank A. Clark Remember – I want you on…

You have great things to offer this world. The catch is that not everybody wants what you have to offer. That means you are going to get a lot of “no”s as you start to offer what you have. How tragic it is that many withhold their offer because they are afraid of the “no”. Just think, if you offer a $100 value, and you get four “no”s for every “yes” – that means that every “no” is worth 20 bucks! Be greatful for those “no”s and remember that “no” really just means “next…” Failure is simply the opportunity to Begin again more intelligently. - Henry Ford

A phrase often attributed to Adlai Stevenson goes something like this, “It’s better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.” I love to associate with those who bring more light to the world. Dr. Paul H. Jenkins is a clinical psychologist who makes house calls with companies like yours that are serious about prospering in the face of the economic “crisis” that faces our world. Consider… · A company’s greatest asset is in the human life value of its people. · Economic success is achieved by the true production of value. · Companies with a culture of positivity prosper. · Teams who feel valued and appreciated are productive and loyal. · Success is determined first in the mind. Many people have become fed up with the negative mindset that pervades the media and our culture. Dr. Paul is committed to align with people who are ready to do something about it – and aggressively eradicate this “dis-ease”. Here is the prescription! paradigm-prescription

I was hanging some Christmas lights on Saturday when a friend came by and hopped out of his truck. He hustled over to where I was standing on the ladder and rather urgently said, “Paul, we need your help – you and your boys – can you come help us?” Well, I’m generally willing to drop whatever when someone needs some help, so I said, “Sure Markus, let me get the boys – what do you need?” He responded that they were trying to play a game of flag football and only had six guys! I got a chuckle out of this, then started thinking – if I am so willing to help somebody work, shouldn’t I also be willing to help somebody play? Play is the work of children, some of the most important work in the world. http://www.growportland.org/migration/ Take time to help somebody play today!
